2010 Vol. II

1.) Registrations due for Friday's PRSA Luncheon
"A Tale of Two Sides - The Future of PR"
With Gary McCormick new PRSA National CEO/Chair
If you have not done so already, please make your reservation by noon Wednesday to be assured a seat at our PRSA-St. Louis monthly luncheon, this Friday, Feb. 19 at Maryville University in west St. Louis County.

Gary McCormick, APR, Fellow PRSA and PRSA National's new CEO/Chair, will speak on the state of the union of our profession and how current and new public relations practitioners can still get a place at the table, in a less than favorable economy.  When he is not traveling around the country speaking to PRSA chapters, McCormick serves as director, partnership development for HGTV, Scripts Network, Knoxville, Tenn.

At Maryville, our presenter will combine two interests - the professionals in the field, and the inquiring college student preparing for a career in PR - as he addresses a crowd of area professionals and more than 60 students from nearly a dozen area universities and colleges.  It's the annual Pro-Am Day, sponsored by PRSA St. Louis and hosted by Maryville University and the PRSSA Chapter of Southeast Missouri State University.

The February luncheon is sponsored by Burrelles/Luce.  Click on their logo and visit their Web site.
